Show Somebody Something

When asked about becoming a successful leader it usually goes back to the age-old question of, “Is it nature or nurture?” I believe the answer comes down to both. In regards to nurture, Einstein believed that it was very difficult for any of us to get beyond the social prejudices of our upbringing. We all would probably agree that this is true. Hey, he’s Einstein! What can I say? However, very difficult doesn’t mean impossible. If we can read, think, hear, and see then we have the natural capability to model the beliefs of the most successful leaders on this planet. We can consciously choose to change our lives in a moment, regardless of our social upbringing. At any point in our lives we really can become the type of successful leader that we want to be.

So how does this transition into a higher quality person begin? How do we get the ball rolling towards making our dreams come true? Well, I always believed that if we want to get the life we want then we have to give to get. In addition, we should also teach what we know if we truly want to learn and lead. So, with that said, we need to go out there and find someone who is in need and show them something we already know.

In addition, once we make this sharing “something” with others as our own personal habit in changing this world for the better, we will almost automatically become a high quality person whom people in our community will look up to. As this new higher quality person who is always sharing what he or she knows, things that we once thought were impossible will now be possible.

Now teens, go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us. Remember to show somebody their first “something” and that “something” will eventually snowball to “something” else and then “something” else that is even bigger and better. And once again, thanks in advance for all that you do, and all that you will do…
